Casas 31 is a project consisting in two holiday homes for a three-generation family, located atop a rocky cliff in Punta Pite, Chile, that were designed by Izquierdo Lehmann Arquitectos.
The houses are located near the beach and to the north, in front of the site, can be admired in their entire splendor the waves crushing down on rocks. The two buildings are set right in the place where the rocks meet vegetation, the parents’
house being located at the west end of the plot and the sons’ at the east.
The spacious rooms are opening to the north view and closing to the neighbors and the wind. As for the construction materials, there were used carved stone for walls, floor and ceilings and reinforced concrete for slabs, beams and columns.
