Fully renovated by Stonefox Design studio, this lovely 1980s house in Aspen, Colorado, belongs to a “hip young couple” who wanted their home to evoke their passion for arts, while also providing an excellent ambiance for their personal lifestyle.
The new dwelling is called the Aspen Art House, and it integrates a vibrant collection of works of art, some by famous artists, others by new talents, some controversial, other more mainstream, but all striking in their own way. According to the architects themselves, they “had to create strong interiors to stand up to the art”.
Consequently, they went for a dark/light palette that also complimented the extensive use of natural wood and the cold grey stone. Like in every art exhibition, natural light is essential, so the residence flaunts huge windows in every room. This last feature also allows for a seamless connection with the lovely outdoor area.
