Waldfogel Residence is an 8,000-square-foot project on a flat, half acre-site, located in Palo Alto, California that was completed by Ehrlich Architects. It’s a home with personality and character provided by the use of different colors and accessories.

Taut horizontal planes clad in gray Rhinezinc, which are spread over the construction envelope, link the two two-story volumes.
An axial wall of poured-in-place concrete flanks the entrance and acts as the north-south circulation spine of the residence.
The first volume includes the living room and the husband’s study to the north, in the same time, sharing a paved court stretching out to the garden, while the second volume accommodates the kitchen and the family room, opening onto another garden and a pool. The master suite and the wife’s study, at the upper level, are connected by the child and guest bedrooms, through a glass bridge. The basement receives natural light through a floor-to-ceiling window adjacent to the glass bridges and stairway.
