Wildcoast Project is a house extension that was designed by Dan Gayfer Field Design and includes a kitchenette, dining area and lounge. The house is located south west of Melbourne, near the Blairgowrie Back Beach on the Mornington Peninsula. Everything started from the need of the family for extra space as they were outgrowing their existing beach house.
The summerhouse was designed as a uniquely adaptable space, providing a kitchenette, a dining table and booth, a U-shaped built in lounge and also an open fireplace that offers flexibility to the space.
The property also includes a pool and a spa, both being defined by a pool compliant curved feature wall.

Ah, another “uniquely adaptable” space with all the usual bells and whistles. Because nothing says originality like a kitchenette, fireplace, and a pool with a “compliant” curved wall. Groundbreaking stuff, truly.
Thanks for your perspective! The Plain Wildcoast Project aims to blend functional design with the natural landscape, creating a space that feels both innovative and comfortable. We appreciate your engagement and hope the subtle details resonate more on a closer look.
