Stunning 6th 1448 Houghton Residence in Johannesburg

This striking home in was built for an extended family in Houghton, an extremely wealthy suburb of Johannesburg. Known as the 6th 1448 Houghton project, the residence was built by SAOTA and Antoni Associates.

The U-shaped construction actually includes two different residences organized around a central courtyard with swimming pool and lovely living areas. On the inside, the center of the construction is represented by a spiral staircase, around which all the rooms are organized. The games room, gym and pool are situated to the west, while the other socialization and entertaining areas are to the north: the private garden, living spaces and kitchen. The study and bedrooms are located on the upper floor.

All interiors are tastefully appointed in a very contemporary manner, with some pieces of furniture being custom made by OKHA Interiors. Neutral colors make an excellent backdrop for some accents of bright , like red, blue and purple.
