The Baan Citta is a vacation home in Bangkok, Thailand designed by THE XSS. It is located right in the heart of North Bangkok’s prestigious residential complex and for the owners is an escape where they feel connected to the nature and where they embrace serenity, peace and physical wellbeing.
The designers focused on playing with the ambience in order to transform this construction into a veritable home.
Because the initial idea was to build the house according to the mythical kingdom Shambhala, the designer kept the essence of the concept by various elements, one of them being the large floor –to- ceiling windows that allow natural light to flood the home, also bringing the homeowners closer to nature.
The joy and the optimism were brought to the house by incorporating colorful walls and bright splashes of furniture.
The Baan Citta was fitted with built-in sustainable systems such as solar water heater, water tank and irrigation systems.
