Broom Way Residence located in Brentwood, California was designed by Nonzero Architecture. It’s a low profile home, carefully positioned and has a relatively modest appearance, preserving in the same time a sense of rustic modernism.
Despite the fact that is features large glass volumes for the living spaces in order to offer beautiful views, the house provides the necessary privacy for the owners.
It’s a highly environmentally efficient house that includes solar panels and roof overhangs and exterior shades that protect it.
The solid walls from Red Balau wood are in contrast with the high –performance glass protected by steel and aluminum.
The open volume includes the living room, the dining room and the kitchen, all being connected to a large deck, through folding glass walls.
Views of the canyon can be accessed throughout the house, whilst the trees surrounding it contribute to the privacy required.
