The home in Paradise Valley is the kind of residence where elegance can be found in every little corner. It is located in Arizona, on an arid landscape, and was completed by Swaback Partners and David Michael Miller Associates.
The client wanted a contemporary, innovative and distinct home that could stand out whether it’s day or night. The interior design is simple but modern due to all the interior finishes, the millwork design and all the features that were selected to be natural and organic.
The design of the house was conceived in a way that could manage to resist to trend and passing interior fashion.

I’m curious—how did the designers balance modern simplicity with the harsh Arizona climate? Also, what natural materials were chosen to ensure the home remains timeless and connected to its surroundings?
The designers used clean lines and open spaces to maintain modern simplicity while incorporating deep overhangs and shading for Arizona’s heat. Natural materials like local stone, warm wood, and textured plaster ensure the home feels timeless and harmoniously connected to the desert landscape.
