This rustic home is the result of a renovation in 2005 made by Savioz Fabrizzi Architecte for a client in Chamoson, Switzerland. Because they wanted to preserve the rustic look of the construction, they used stone for the exterior.
There were added some new large windows aside from the former ones because it was wanted for more light to enter the house and to flood the interior spaces all day long.
It features good thermal insulation, controlled ventilation and energy from renewable sources which brings it to the contemporary times despite the fact that it has an 1800’s look.
Because it’s all about harmony here, the interior had to be designed in accordance with the exterior and there were used unrefined mineral materials, natural stone, exposed concrete and polished screed floors.
