The Brotherton Barn is a former barn converted by The Anderson Orr Partnership into a rustic residence, and is located in Pusey, Oxfordshire, England.
The decision of lowering the new construction into the ground was taken by the architects in order to add space to the home.
A floating staircase and gallery was designed to make the connection between the open plan living area and the master bedroom suite.
Because the roof collapsed, Carpenter Oak & Woodland were employed to repair it by using traditional techniques that complement the contemporary modern lines.
