Contemporary BO House In Envigado, Antioquia, Colombia

Completed in 2013 in Envigado, Antioquia, Colombia, the BO House was penned down by Plan B Arquitectos and flaunts 3,229 square feet of living space. It was built within a damp and cold environment that features particularly strong winds, which is why it includes reliable, sturdy materials as well as efficient insulation. Its design was inspired by farmhouses and barns, since this used to be an agricultural area.

The private and social areas are separated on two floors. It makes sense that the public areas would be placed on the ground level and the private ones on the upper floor, since the upper floor is bound to be warmer at all times. The upper level features skylights and deep windows that allow the residents to enjoy fabulous panoramas of the natural environment.

The residence was designed to absorb solar heat during the morning and the afternoon, and it boasts a symmetrical shape with long facades. The bedrooms and the living room are naturally illuminated and offer exceptional comfort as well as great opportunities for relaxation.
