The 430 House is the result of a successful renovation project by D’Arcy Jones Architecture. The residence was finished in 2014 and offers 2,450 square feet of living space in a quiet neighborhood in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The original residence from 1981 had its dining, living areas and kitchen on the upper floor, but the renovation saw them being relocated to the ground floor.
Apart from the interior modifications, the home also received a brand new façade as well as new windows that welcome natural light within while ensuring views of the surrounding environment. The two levels of the 430 House are linked with the help of an interior staircase that boasts floating wooden steps.
The overall interior atmosphere is a cozy and welcoming one, particularly in the living room where we find a fireplace, an L-shaped sofa as well as storage spaces for the firewood.
