Laurel Way is not a house, but a true jewel located in Beverly Hills, California. Thanks to Whipple Russell Architects this project could be completed in order to amaze us all. Each room was created independently in order to look like exceptional gems, fully functional, which were put together to appear like a spectacular architectural creation.
As you enter the house, you get the sensation of always being connected to the outdoors due to home’s inherent weightlessness that makes the walls seem like floating. This thing was achieved with precise symmetry of beams, support panels, tiles, sightlines and also because of the walls that do not meet the ceilings.
The moat-like water surround adds the sense of a protective boundary but without obstructing the views.
The German made Schuco windows and doors are thermal efficient during summer and winter as well. The unparalleled quality of furnishings in all the rooms gives an elegant touch to the whole interior design.
The Master/Mistress Suite on the top floor is connected to an expansive terrace that features a Jacuzzi tub, areas for sunning, relaxing or enjoying the night-lights of the city.
The elegance of this incredible residence is also proved by the roomy home theater with fully equipped wet bar, hidden fabric covered sound panels, plush couches and leather chairs and many other features such as outdoor landscape lighting or the electronic window shades that are activated with iPads and iPods.
