Casa Do Lago (the Lake House) is a beautiful contemporary residence built by Frederico Valsassina Arquitectos in Aroeira, Portugal. The position of the house and its different volumes is given by the proximity of the other lots and the existing grove. The result is a lovely home with clearly defined spaces that keep their autonomy, but which also seamlessly communicate with the outdoor spaces.
Speaking of the outdoor area, this is a particularly beautiful zone, with a superb Koi pond, comfy sun lounges, perfectly trimmed lawn, and tall surrounding trees. The large terrace works like a natural extension of the open-floor living area, thus encouraging a constant dialogue between the indoor and outdoor areas. See more in the photo gallery below.
