Dreamy Oz Residence by Swatt Mires Architects

Oz Residence is a stunning contemporary dwelling located in one of the best possible places to live in: Silicon Valley, California. Built by Swatt Mires Architects for a young couple with two kids, the residence has a casual and very inviting feel to it.

The owners wanted their home to resemble a luxe holiday destination where they could enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of the 2.8-acre site. The house is also characterized by open planning, extensive glazing, and the use of high quality natural materials. It was built to form an “L” shape, with the two wings of the house joining at the great room.

The gorgeous gardens have been designed by Ron Herman, a landscape architect who has designed some of the largest and most intricate private gardens in North America. Spending some time outside in the garden or on a lounge near the pool is a truly delightful experience.
