Casa Itu in Brazil was completed by the American/Brazilian architectural firm Studio Arthur Casas and is a contemporary home including a large terrace which is developed throughout the length of the house.
Sited next to a small lake, the house takes maximum advantage of the landscape.
Because the floor plan is L-shaped, the home is divided into the main volume with the children’s room and a spacious living room opening onto the terrace and garden, and the secondary volume that includes the dining room, the kitchen and the service areas.
The terrace and the landscape are brought into the house due to the windows that slide completely and are hidden inside the walls.
The house beautifully connects with the landscape also because of the use of cumaru wood and the colors that use the local earth.
