Fagerström House is a large home for a growing family located in Edsviken, Sweden, which was designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects. According to the wish of the client, the project owns a sculptural exterior that contributes to its curving.
Its façade color is a very particular one because the vertical boards are all painted in various Falun red shades, starting from ocher and ending to dark red, from the bedroom end to the living room end.
The house includes two floors with a diagonal roof which skews the construction’s gables.
Despite the fact that there are a lot of open and glazed areas, these are carefully placed in order to avoid visibility from neighbors.

This house is absolutely stunning. The gradient Falun red façade is such a bold, beautiful choice that really brings the structure to life. Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects nailed the balance between privacy and openness. Truly inspiring design!
Thank you! We’re delighted you appreciate the Falun red façade. Balancing privacy with openness was central to our vision, so hearing it resonates with you is wonderful. Enjoy the design!
