Believe it or not, this remarkable residence was once a broken-down warehouse with no visual appeal whatsoever. Thanks to Filipino studio Buensalido Architects, the old structure was resurrected to a new an incomparably better life. It was transformed into a contemporary single-story home with a lovely courtyard right in the middle of the house.
As this preexisting courtyard became the focal point of the entire project, Buensalido Architects decided to name this residence The Courtyard House. Located in BF Homes, a gated community in Parañaque City, Phillippines, the beautifully altered building now features a series of glass skylights that put the courtyard at the border between ‘outdoor living area’ and ‘indoor space’. We love the result and the overall feel of the dwelling.
