Villa T Project by Architrend Architecture

Not long ago this portion of Ragusta, Sicily was an agricultural plateau, filled with cattle farms and cultivated fields. Gradually, various constructions began to take shape, giving this area a new look.

This is the place that Architrend Architecture chose for Villa T, a large single-family house. This area is perfect, as it still preserves the idea of isolation and privacy, offering at the same time the beauty of wildlife and the freshness of the grassy meadow.

The architects managed to connect the house with the landscape by creating rooms without walls, outdoor living spaces, terraces and balconies. The southern area of the residence opens towards the greenery, revealing the two floors connected through a mono-beam staircase. The upper volume includes a bedroom and a studio, while the lower volume features the living-dining-kitchen area, the master bedroom and the bathroom. An external portico, resembling a room without walls, is connected with the daytime area through full-height glazing.

Although the architecture of the house resembles the Mediterranean style, one can easily see the unique and original touches and techniques that make this house stand out.
