Sophisticated Hill Country Residence by Cornerstone Architects

The elegant Hill Country Residence is a project located in Austin, Texas, which was completed by Cornerstone Architects in 2011.

What’s really impressive about this house is the fact that every room, including the kitchen, is very spacious and gives you that warm feeling of a home. Its design allows privacy from the street, in the same time providing beautiful views of the surrounding hill country and of the downtown.

The warm setting for day life could be achieved by mixing warm finishes like stained wood with gray tones with concrete and local limestone.

This home was build upon the clients’ demands, one of them being the fact that the construction had to function upon green features such as geothermal heating/cooling, rainwater harvesting, spray foam insulation, high efficiency glazing and passive solar coverage due to the special design of the roof.
