Elizabeth Street Residence is a remarkable contemporary residence by architectural firm Jackson Clements Burrows (JCB). The owners wanted a home with outdoor pool and garden, and they wanted it to respond to their family’s current and future needs. Instead of going for the traditional rear-yard configuration, the architects chose to divide the lot lengthwise and set the house parallel to the courtyard landscape.
The project responds to the specific needs of adults and children, but the different areas of the house are organically connected to one another. The indoor spaces also flaunt a seamless communication with the beautiful outdoors, making this home one big area of comfort, safety, privacy and communion.
