The Kfar Shmaryahu House located in Israel is a private family residence that was designed by Pitsou Kedem Architects. At a first impression, this construction doesn’t look like a house but more like a mold or an artist’s canvas. It seems like a tridimensional mass because of the front façade which creates a nonsymmetrical composition pulling towards the flanking faces.
Because of the system of smart blinds, the possibility of reversing a balanced composition into a dynamic one is created.
The spaces in the house are characterized by a restrained use of materials for the light to enter the house and to create a sense of drama, movement and dynamism.
