The House is Monasterios situated in an elevated residential area near the sea, in Monasterios, Spain, was completed by the architect Ramon Esteve.
The main walls traced the style of the house, being constructed as a compact volume of various heights. An opening through the courtyards ensures the link between the volumes. Numerous atrium-style open courtyards offer access to the interior space and provide different perceptions on the residence.
The massive stone walls were carved in order to introduce large glass panels which change the level of closure of every piece.
Because the walls are the main reference points of the project, the layout was designed according to the directions previously set.
This home is entirely defined by the two wooden volumes with chimneys, which blend seamlessly with the landscape.
