Fancy Desert House by Lake|Flato Architects

The Desert House is a contemporary home located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, that was designed by the San Antonio-based studio Lake|Flato Architects.

Because the owner is an art collector, the interior and the exterior spaces were designed to accommodate its contemporary art. The guest rooms are located outside the courtyard and are partially recessed into the hill. The exposed concrete walls protect the building and frame views of the mountains while materials such as stucco, concrete and many others, contribute to the stability and the design of the house.
