Kennedy Residence is a beautiful luxury home in Boulder, Colorado. Designed by Semple Brown Design, it is set on a 12-acre site, surrounded by a peaceful ranchland and near the stone canyon east of Boulder. According to its architects, the site was not chosen for spectacular distant views, but rather for a more intimate connection with the surroundings.
The lot is populated by many mature elm, spruce and cottonwood trees that played a major role in determining the architecture of the house. The three different wings of the residence are positioned in a very organic manner so as to not destroy the natural maze created by the trees. They are connected to each other by public courtyards and exterior spaces that ensure a seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor areas.

Semple Brown Design truly nailed it here. The way the wings weave through those mature trees feels so organic and grounded. Love how the courtyards blur the line between indoors and out. A masterclass in respecting the landscape. Beautiful work!
