South Yarra residence is a restored property in South Yarra, Australia. The restoration has been made by Carr Design Group who discovered the potential of this estate. The story of the place starts in 1929 when it was created under the form of two duplexes, one being inhabited by the renowned artist Sunday Reed.
It is located in Melbourne’s Domain precinct and mixes the historic architecture with modern elements.
This home is perfect for a family of five due to its original structure and well proportioned spaces with cohesive interior designs.
The interior is flooded by natural light all day long because of the two storey glazed structure that was attached to the rear west face of the construction.
Mixing contemporary style with old architecture was the key to success for this particular project.
