Polaris House is a contemporary home designed by Boston-based architect Bob Augustine. It is located on a quiet street in Belmont, Massachusetts, USA.
The area that leaves a strong impression is the kitchen, which looks like a Corvette according to the client’s part time cook. It was manufactured by Moda Cuchina and is indeed the ultra-modern fulcrum of the house, embellished by the intense burnt orange “automobile” lacquer.
The house is filled with vivid colors and interesting lighting fixtures and it provides that optimistic feeling and a playful atmosphere in contrast with more austere elements such as the metal on the exterior that proved to be the complementary element of the outdoors.
