G House located in Tel Aviv, Israel, was completed by Axelrod Architects + Pitsou Kedem Architect in 2011.
This house seems like it is effortlessly floating above the ground and uses vertical space and light in surprising ways. It includes two living levels and a basement, the main level featuring a large expanse of glass which opens to a private yard and pool, and the wall of glass is the one that creates the illusion of a floating building.
The main living space is focused on the wide two story vertical open space creating the feeling of an airy and relaxed atmosphere.
The three words that could best describe this house are open, delightful and harmonious.

I’m curious how the architects balanced structural support with the floating illusion. Does the extensive use of glass affect energy efficiency or privacy? The way light shapes the space really makes me want to experience it in person!
Thank you! The architects use hidden steel supports to create the floating effect, ensuring stability without visible bulk. High-performance glass balances natural light with insulation, maintaining energy efficiency and privacy through strategic placement and smart shading. It truly is an inspiring space to experience firsthand!
