Villa Extramuros is a superb contemporary-style hotel in Arraiolos, Portugal. It was designed by Vora Arquitectura with a central courtyard as the core element of the construction. Surrounding this special area is the reception, kitchen and all common spaces, including the living and dining areas.
The upper floor contains four lovely guest rooms, accessible via an exterior staircase. Whenever the indoor courtyard is no longer enough, guests can get closer to nature by strolling around in the beautiful olive grove that surrounds the villa. This is a perfect spot for people looking for a little privacy and romance.

Ah, a courtyard-centric villa in Portugal—because nothing says romance like strategically placed stairs and olive trees. But sure, if you think wandering around an olive grove counts as “getting closer to nature,” who am I to argue?
Absolutely, the charm of olive groves and thoughtful design creates a serene, romantic atmosphere—perfect for those who appreciate nature’s subtle beauty and peaceful moments away from the usual. It’s all about finding joy in the simple, elegant details.
