Luxurious, tranquil and environmentally friendly, Casa Atrevida is a wonderful vacation home that can be booked all year round, for rates that vary between $2,100 and $3,500 per week. It is located on Preciosa Beach in Puerto Jimenez, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.
Designed by Piedra Arquitectos, it features 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and it can host up to 10 guests at once. Bamboo dominates the design, being used both for decorative purposes and as a structural material. This is an excellent building material, being earthquake resistant and having a low impact on the environment (because this is a very fast growing plant).
The villa also features a rooftop garden that plays a double role: it helps integrate the construction into the landscape, and it contributes to the natural cooling of the interiors.

Ah, bamboo as a structural marvel—because nothing says luxury like channeling your inner panda while saving the planet. Clever design, but I suppose saving the world from earthquakes is just a nice bonus.
Absolutely! Bamboo combines elegance with incredible strength and sustainability, making it perfect for luxury retreats like Casa Atrevida. Plus, its natural flexibility helps the structure withstand earthquakes—beauty and resilience hand in hand.
