The Norwegian studio Gudmur Jonsson Arkitektkontor undertook the renovation of this studio apartment in Reykjavik, Iceland. Although the apartment is small, the space is nicely distributed, modern and every piece of furniture has its own particular place.
It was in bad conditions but the decision of remodeling it came because of its setting, on top of Reykjavik City center, on the 2nd floor with views towards the church, the Museum, the Pearl Restaurant and the Blue Mountains.
The ceiling height is average and by installing high kitchen cabinets the space was provided with more grandeur. The white color also contributes to the sense of a bigger space than it is.
