Manny innovative, beautiful and useful things can be created by using natural materials and a little bit of imagination. Take for example the light from sand designed by Barcelona-based design studio alien and monkey, by using traditional ceramic techniques.
They’ve practically used one of earth’s most abundant natural resources – sand, in order to give birth to a new project: ephemeral lamps. They can be used for a long period of time, at the end of their lifespan being turned back into sand.
