Minimalism
This is a philosophy of life that calls for eliminating everything excessive and focusing on what is most important. At its core is the idea that true beauty and functionality manifest in simplicity and clarity. It strives for harmony between a person and space, where every detail has its significance and place.
The style was born as a counter to overly saturated decorations, where attention was scattered among many small details. It aims to create functional and harmonious spaces free from chaos.
Minimalism is characterized by simple forms: rectangular and square silhouettes, smooth surfaces, and strict lines. The main palette consists of neutral shades: white, gray, beige, and black. Accents are minimal, executed in calm or contrasting tones. The primary materials are glass, metal, wood, and stone, emphasizing restrained luxury and durability.
Plumbing and furniture have simple, concise shapes without excessive embellishments. We offer bathroom design solutions with toilets that make the interior comfortable and aesthetic. The sink can be made of smooth porcelain or matte glass. A frameless mirror, possibly with perimeter lighting, visually expands the space.
Storage is organized as efficiently as possible: built-in cabinets with flat facades without handles, opening with a light touch, conceal all necessary hygiene items. Nothing clutters the surfaces, allowing the eye to glide freely across the space and enjoy the cleanliness.
Our studio’s projects demonstrate how a bathroom design with a shower can be stylish and practical.
Project by Artum. Designer: Elena Smirnova
To satisfy the client’s desire, an unconventional solution was adopted. The area of the original space was insufficient to realize all wishes, but by combining two bathrooms, we were able to bring the client’s dream to life. Glass partitions, minimalist plumbing, and the use of natural materials highlight the style and functionality of the space. A separate shower area became an important element, complementing the thoughtful design of the room with a bathtub and shower.
Eco Style
This style is for those who strive for eco-friendliness, value natural materials, and care for the planet.
The main elements are wood, stone, and natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, and wool. Materials are often used in their natural state: untreated wooden surfaces, rough stone, woven accessories. The color palette is closely aligned with natural shades: green, brown, sandy, gray-blue, and cream.
Live plants are an integral part of the style. These can be large palms, compositions of succulents, mosses, or vertical gardens. They decorate the modern bathroom interior and contribute to improving the microclimate by purifying the air. Natural lighting is maximized through large windows for daylight penetration, while artificial lighting is created using warm spectrum lamps.

Loft
Loft is a style that emerged in the mid-20th century when abandoned factories and warehouses began to be converted into living spaces. It incorporates elements of industrial architecture and has become a symbol of freedom, creativity, and unconventional thinking. Loft is perfect for large spaces where it is necessary to emphasize spaciousness and unique details.
The main features are open spaces and the absence of clear boundaries between zones. Instead of walls, there are glass partitions or shelves. Often, unfinished walls made of brick, concrete, or roughly plastered surfaces remain, highlighting the industrial character of the space. Floors are most often made of wood or concrete, and less frequently, metal coverings or tiles.
Decor often includes elements reminiscent of the industrial era: massive metal lamps, pipes, fans, and rails. Lighting plays an important role, emphasizing the height of ceilings and the texture of walls.
The color palette is restrained and somewhat rough. These are shades of gray, black, brown, and red brick. Accents are created with bright details: yellow lamps or greenery.
Minimalism and eco-style are perfect for creating an atmosphere of tranquility and coziness. For those who appreciate boldness and dynamism, the loft style is also implemented in our projects. Main Trends of 2026

Trends are moving away from a strictly utilitarian approach, and the professionals at Artum studio embody authorial interiors, making your bathroom unique.
Matte Surfaces
Matte finishes create a sense of calm and refined elegance. They softly absorb light, eliminating glare, which makes the bathroom cozy and visually comfortable. They can be used for wall, floor, and plumbing finishes — for example, bathtubs and sinks.
Unlike glossy surfaces, such materials hide minor defects, are easier to maintain, and do not create a feeling of “coldness.” White matte tiles, cream facades, or black plumbing with a matte finish look modern and expensive.
Neutral Shades: Versatility and Balance
The neutral palette is a classic that is always relevant. In 2026, light shades will be popular: white, beige, gray, and sandy. Such colors create a foundation for the bathroom interior in the house, visually enlarging the space and suitable for any area.
Neutral shades work as a canvas, allowing accents to be added through textures, materials, or decor. They help achieve balance and do not distract attention from other details, such as textures or lighting.
Mixing Textures: Layering and Depth
One of the most interesting solutions for 2026 in bathroom design is the use of different textures in one space. Mixing textures adds depth and volume to the interior, making it more vibrant. The key is to maintain balance so that the space does not appear overloaded.
The combination of materials with different textures adds liveliness and volume to the space. The combination of rough stone, smooth wood, soft textiles, and cold metal can create an incredibly multifaceted and interesting bathroom interior. A soft rug on a rough concrete floor creates a sense of warmth, while wooden elements against a metal background evoke naturalness.
Soft Forms: Comfort and Smoothness
Soft forms in the interior are a trend aimed at creating comfort and harmony.

These can be mirrors, shapes of sinks, bathtubs, or furniture. Soft contours soften the strict lines of the bathroom, making it cozier and more harmonious.
An oval bathtub, suspended cabinets with rounded edges, or a round mirror with backlighting create a sense of comfort and relaxation.
Multiple Light Sources
This approach allows for regulating the atmosphere in the room, creating both bright working light and soft, cozy illumination.
The main principles include the use of central chandeliers, wall sconces, floor lamps, and built-in lighting. Different types of light help zone the space, highlighting specific details such as paintings, textured walls, or furniture. Layered light makes the interior deeper and more complex, emphasizing its individuality.
Art Objects
This is the final touch that transforms the interior into a work of art. Each element emphasizes the owner’s individuality. Paintings, sculptures, and installations become accents that convey the owner’s character and create a special atmosphere.
The main rule is balance. They should be bright but not overload the space. For example, a large painting against a neutral wall becomes the focal point, highlighting style and taste.
In 2026, mirrors become a central element of decor. Unusually shaped models, with decorative frames or backlighting, visually expand the space and add uniqueness.
Handmade items — ceramic vases, soap dishes, or stands — create an atmosphere of coziness and exclusivity. Details can be in both minimalist and vibrant designs.

Planning
Bathroom design in modern classic style by Artum View project
Zone planning in the bathroom helps to use the space effectively. Shower cabins with glass partitions do not “overload” the interior, maintaining visual lightness.
Spacious layouts often include freestanding bathtubs as the central element of the interior. Even in small bathrooms, it is possible to allocate space for convenient storage, soft lighting, and decorative accents. The bathroom becomes a full-fledged comfort zone, where everything is thought out to the smallest detail.
Modern layouts include built-in cabinets and niches. Shelves for storage are hidden behind mirrors, and pull-out drawers are placed under sinks. This solution allows only the most necessary items to remain in view, maintaining the overall minimalism of the space.

We know how to use every centimeter of space. In this project, the bathroom was enlarged by incorporating the hallway. In the new area, a block for the washing machine and convenient storage systems were placed. Thanks to horizontal lines, the effect of a narrow room was avoided.
Finishing
Bathroom design by Artum View project
A professional approach plays a key role in creating the perfect modern bathroom design, especially when it comes to complex or small spaces. The designers at Artum studio create unique interiors that reflect the client’s lifestyle.
Trends in bathroom finishing for 2025-2026 are characterized by simplicity and naturalness. The main emphasis is on natural textures, visual lightness, and durability of materials.
- Natural stone, porcelain stoneware mimicking wood or concrete, and large tiles are becoming favorites. Smooth surfaces are accentuated by light textural accents such as mosaics or decorative plaster.
- Neutral shades – gray, beige, sandy – visually expand the space. For contrast, deep greens or blues are added as accents.
- Designers consider how to optimally use every centimeter: built-in storage niches in the shower, hidden cabinets under the sink, or suspended furniture creating a sense of airiness.
Creating a bathroom design project includes selecting materials, planning, and decoration. Our specialists will help choose materials that are moisture-resistant and temperature-stable.
Lighting
A well-thought-out lighting system helps visually transform the space, highlighting finishing details and creating an atmosphere of coziness.
General lighting is the foundation of any lighting system. It evenly distributes light throughout the room and eliminates shadows. Ceiling lighting is most often used: built-in spotlights or panels with soft diffused light.
For larger spaces, central fixtures can be added — for example, minimalist pendants or flat chandeliers.
Functional lighting is most important in the mirror area. Built-in LED lamps or decorative sconces beside the mirror provide soft, even light. Convenient options include mirrors with touch-controlled backlighting, where you can adjust its intensity and color temperature.
Hidden lighting in niches or under the bathtub creates depth and emphasizes the textures of the finishes. Lighting shelves and racks makes them visually expressive.
How do designers solve lighting issues?
In small bathrooms, backlit mirrors and reflective surfaces are used to make the room brighter and more spacious. Ceiling fixtures with directed light increase the height of the room.
The designers at Artum studio know how to highlight the best aspects of your interior with lighting and solve any issues related to space and layout.
Decor

In 2026, decor adheres to two main principles: practicality and aesthetics. Decor helps to connect elements of the interior into a cohesive space and make the bathroom cozy.
Natural fabrics such as cotton or linen, with soft textures and minimalist designs, are in vogue. The color palette supports the overall concept of the interior: neutral shades for minimalism, pastel tones for calm eco-style, or contrasting colors for bright accents in loft.
Textiles decorate and create coziness. A soft rug with long pile next to the bathtub adds comfort, while towels neatly folded on open shelves look like part of the designer’s concept.
Plants in the bathroom are becoming increasingly popular. They enliven the interior, add freshness, and create a sense of closeness to nature. Small pots with succulents on shelves, hanging planters with moisture-loving plants, or even green walls — all are suitable for the bathroom.

It is important to consider lighting: if there is no window in the room, choose shade-tolerant plants or artificial ones that look as natural as possible.
The mirror has long ceased to be just a functional element. In 2025-2026, it becomes the main accent of the bathroom. Unusually shaped mirrors, with frames made of metal, wood, or stone, emphasize the style of the interior. Built-in LED backlighting will make the mirror a stylish decor element.
Small details, such as soap dishes, liquid soap dispensers, toothbrush holders, and towel racks, are selected to harmonize with the overall concept. In minimalism, concise forms made of glass or metal are suitable, in eco-style — products made of wood or ceramics, and for loft — rough, industrial accessories.
A professional designer knows how to create harmony between functionality and aesthetics of lighting. They consider the size of the room, layout, finishing materials, and your habits so that light becomes not just an element of the interior but a full part of your comfort.
If you want your bathroom to be a place where it is pleasant to start and end the day, start with a thoughtful approach to lighting. Contact us for a consultation — and together we will create a space that reflects your style and wishes.
