What constitutes our vision of a good house? In this instance, it refers to a structure that explores the potential of site-specific design while ensuring it meets the highest standards of energy efficiency. Our good house reflects our principles regarding resilience, efficiency, health, comfort, aesthetics, and a sense of playfulness. good haus zero net energy home by atmosphere design build 3a3d152

The essence of the Good Haus is shaped by its location, a steep and rocky hillside that descends into a small meadow on a neighboring foothill. Constraints on the buildable area, seasonal drainage issues, and a welcoming flat granite outcrop influenced the initial design. Two intersecting geometric forms were envisioned, each extending to connect the structure with the landscape, intersecting one another to create balance.
