Burton residence is a vacation home designed by Marmol Radziner and located in Mendocino County, California, USA, and came as a subdued addition to the natural beauty of the nature surrounding it.
The house is based on an L-shaped plan and provides views of mature oak trees to the south and east. The main volume of the residence is east to west oriented and settled in an open plan.
The living room, the kitchen and the dining room open together onto the covered patio which is equipped with a fireplace and a pool area.
It’s an eco-friendly house, mostly because of the use of concrete flooring, covered decks and natural through breezes which provide passive solar heating and cooling.
