Completed by Olson Kuding Architects, Ocean House is a beautiful contemporary residence with traditional Balinese influences, situated on the Big Island, in Hawaii. The residence features a lava base and horizontal roof planes that seem to be floating in the sky.
While very open towards the surroundings, the house is also protected from the hot sun by broad overhangs. The breezes also help a lot in cooling the place down, so the glass walls can easily be slid open to allow an unobstructed air flow.
