Part of a complex of houses situated in Marina di Ragusa, Villa GM impresses with its flawless design, with influences from the ‘50s. This is the period when John Entenza and his magazine “Art & Architecture” implemented the program of the Case Study Houses, by which he wanted to express the post war man’s life in the modern world. Villa GM is a tribute to Pierre Koenig, one of the most brilliant architects from this period.
Architrend Architecture followed Entenza’s ideas to create this amazing Sicilian villa, with amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Island of Malta. The residence has an L-shaped plan that surrounds a large swimming pool and a sun terrace. The architecture is simple, and the materials used are wood and steel for the frame, cement for the floors, and glass for the side walls. One can have a relaxing time in the beautiful garden filled with Mediterranean plants and trees, such as palm trees and cacti. The color used for both the exterior and the interior of the residence are white and grey, which give an elegant and sophisticated feel.
