Traditional Korean Curving House by JOHO Architecture

The Curving House designed by JOHO Architecture is located in Gyeonggi-do, Korea. It is a massive construction complemented by concrete surface as fish scale pilled to form this pattern from angles 1° through 25°.

It has a camouflage aspect due to the stainless steel used in the front and on the side that reflects the surrounding landscapes.

The natural ventilation is provided by the summer breeze that comes down from the mountain ridge, reducing the heat load.

The large windows facing the south provide natural light during the day and also help maintain the house warm during the night.

The large space for handling the flow of air is its main characteristic, being an element borrowed from the traditional Korean homes.
