The House VMVK has a strange shape but it impresses by originality. It is located in Sint-Katelijne-Waver, Belgium and was designed by dmvA. The walls are colored in white in order to create a contrast with the wooden floors that give the interior a homey aspect.
The building’s design was determined by profound form-studies, town-planning regulations and a pro-nature attitude.
The main characteristic of the concept is living the other way around, meaning living on the upper floors to take advantage of the gorgeous views.
The lacquered zinc used for the walls and the roof integrates the house, even more, into the natural landscape.
