DG House is a modern and simple home which was completed by Ramat HaSharon-based studio Domb Architects in 2008. It is located in Ramat HaSharon, a city bordering Tel Aviv, Israel and was created as a family home.
It is divided into two wings under the form of two asymmetrical boxes which are linked through open staircases. The house is hidden from the street because the front elevation is sealed.
The living room is the intermediate space that connects the two wings with overhead bridges and staircase and features huge glass walls that permit natural views and lights to enter the house.
The kitchen and the dining area, which are connected to the yard, are the main public parts of the ground floor.
On the first floor we find the children’s bedrooms with balconies and designed like “mini suites” with living units and independent bathrooms. Other amenities include a screening room, fitness facilities, a Billiard table and an intimate studio, all being arranged in the basement.
