The residence in Legrena is a 5,940 sqm property that was completed in 2012 by Thymio Papayannis and Associates. It is located in Legrena, Greece, close to the beach of Legrena – Attika.
The goal of the architects was to restore a ground floor holiday residence, which was built half a century ago by the same architectural office. Because of the damages the house has suffered, it had to be redesigned.
The main residence suffered a radical modification, remaining incorporated to the hill, maintaining its scale, while the guesthouse got separated from the main building by an artificial hill.
The relationship between the interior and the exterior was very important for the owners so there were introduced floor to ceiling large openings.
