Gabriel Rivera has designed the new Tacuri house in the Educator, showcasing an impressive open living concept. A remarkable aspect of this beautiful residence is its commitment to preserving the natural environment. Indeed, one of the most notable actions taken by the builders was to avoid cutting down any trees during the construction process.

Currently, Casa Tacuri is designed around trees, making it a truly stunning place to reside. Additionally, it is located in Nayon, a small parish known for the Cumbaya valley and the vibrant, wild Algoborro trees. This town is just minutes away from a bustling city, yet the area is alive with the sounds of birds chirping among the trees.

The Tacuri house features a U-shaped floor plan that follows the slope of the land, reflecting the builders’ and designers’ intention to honor the surrounding environment. They took care not to disturb the land, trees, or their roots. The layout consists of three distinct volumes, each encased in glass, allowing visibility into the interior spaces.

Regarding the exterior, it is crafted with high-quality honey wood and concrete. The house also includes a sunroom designed to let in ample natural light. This sunroom is situated on the roof, enabling direct sunlight to illuminate the space. The master suite occupies the top volume of the house, while the middle volume contains two small yet luxurious and cozy bedrooms.

The master bedroom features elegantly glazed walls, with access to a spacious terrace. Residing in this room offers the sensation of sleeping high among the trees, akin to living in a luxurious treehouse.

The third wing of the house includes a well-lit studio, which is warmer than the other areas and features beautiful lighting. This studio shares the same structural elements as the other rooms, including a concrete ceiling and wooden walls.
