Mario Martins Atelier, a design studio in Portugal, designed this remarkable House in Lagos, Algarve, Portugal. The project was completed in 2010, on a gentle slope in the coastal town. Its positioning ensures sweeping views of the houses below and the beautiful blue waters of the Atlantic.
The residence sits on an exposed concrete base, and it was built with emphasis on sustainability and energy saving techniques. These include the use of geothermal power, an integrated domotics system, and a beautiful rooftop garden.
Over a suspended concrete walkway one can find the home’s entrance that leads to a realm of contemporary luxe and sophistication. The spacious double-height living area is ideal for entertaining guests, as it includes sweeping views of the coast. Outside, beautifully landscaped terraces and lovely water features (a lake and a swimming pool) complete the outstanding project.
