Remodeled Manhattan Micro-Loft by Specht Harpman

Manhattan Micro-Loft is a renovated apartment located at the top of a brownstone on Manhattan‘s Upper West Side, New York. The renovation was completed by Specht Harpman who thought the place was so awkward because he didn’t find space to locate a bed or even a couch.

After everything was done according to the architectural plan, the space was divided into four separate “living platforms” which provide space for all the activities and still allow the apartment to feel open.

All rooms flow beautifully one into another, the final touch being a stair leading to a gorgeous roof garden. In fact the existing stairs are used more to hide a built-in storage cabinetry, the drawers and even the main bath and shower built below the primary staircase.

Because of the minuscule size of the dwelling, there were used special materials that emphasize the space, giving it light and the sense of an airy place.
