The Beck Residence is the proof that the problem of limited space can be solved with the help of some skilled architects like Horst Architects. The project is located in Corona del Mar, California and is guided by principles of design solutions such as simplicity and restraint.
Because the clients wanted a design perfect for office work by day and for intimate social and familial gatherings by night, the interior spaces were completely reconfigured into an open plan.
The classic means of spatial transition have been replaced by sliding partitions and special fabric behind the frameless glass.
Frameless, bi-folding doors merge the indoor and outdoor living. Privacy is provided by request due to the wood shutters.
The fact that the house is flooded by natural light, ventilated by breezes, touched by colors and impregnated with fine odors, turns it into an oasis of tranquility and relaxation for the owners.
