Architects Elias Rizo Arquitectos designed this 795 sq m residence in Punta Mita, La Riviera Nayarit, Mexico. The owners are a unique couple with talent and creativity, therefore, the house was supposed to match their taste and not the typology in the area.
The residence has three parts and it starts with the service spaces, continues with the private and public areas and ends with a terrace facing the sea. The entrance is made of solid tropical wood, while the main area is floating on volcanic rock. Other materials that add texture are stainless steel, concrete and stone.
On the upper level one can find the bedrooms. Creativity can be found even in the way spaces are used- the bathroom of the master suite is partially on the exterior of the house. Privacy mixes with the common areas and the external environment in an attempt to create a unique residence that blends these three elements.
