Distinct House of Would by Elii

The House of Would located in Pedrezuela, Madrid, Spain, was completed by Elii. It’s a genuine project divided into separate modules in order to provide different domestic functions.

This construction reunites seven wooden-structure modules which are symmetrically identical, each one of these modules accomplishing one determined function.

The house was adapted to the plot, so the private rooms were hidden from the street and set closer to the plot to create a feeling of being in direct contact with the plot, while the more public spaces are closer to the street. Small bridges act as a link between the different areas.

The house’s garden is partly occupied by the central courtyard. The wooden roofs are arranged in a way that could collect the rainwater to water the garden.

Without taking advantage of the whole building, the organization of the house can be fragmented into a smaller one.
