The designer of this remarkable luxury penthouse is an alumni of the renowned Inchbald School of Design. His name is Staffan Tollgard, and he designed this apartment for property developer Westrock. The project’s brief was “Contemporary penthouse”, which came as a breath of fresh air among the many other large apartments in the area that have an old feeling about them.
The luxe dwelling is located in Kensington, London, UK, and it has a private elevator that takes people directly into the apartment’s first floor (the fourth floor of the building). Here guests can find the lobby, the kitchen, a generous living and dining area, a guest cloakroom, and even a state-of-the-art home cinema room which can also be converted into a supplementary bedroom, or maybe a study.
The more private areas are located on the second floor (the fifth floor of the building), and they include three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two dressing rooms, and a lovely balcony for the master bedroom. From here the views are simply amazing.
While the walnut and natural stone that Tollgrad used for this penthouse could very well be used in a rather traditional dwelling, the extensive use of glass, the sleek finishes, the minimalist furnishings, and the bold splashes or bright colors help create a very contemporary home.
