The QT Sydney Hotel designed by Woodhead, Indyk Architects, and Nicholas Graham + Associates, is a 2012 project that nicely gathers classic, retro, contemporary and avant-garde elements. It is an eclectic hotel that is to become a new landmark by bringing back to life the theatre and retail.
The façade of the building preserves the marks of the past, being remodeled after the 1920’s look while the inside hardly kept some of the past elements, being flooded by technology and modern art. An LED wall of digital art is proudly presented in the public area of the hotel, adding a dramatic display to the surroundings.
The QT design is highlighted by geometric patterns on the ceilings and floors and also by a splash of color.
