With almost 7,000 square feet of living space, the Hopetoun residence can be found in Australia and was designed by experts from B.E Architecture. Located within the Vaucluse suburb, the abode was finished in 2014 and was the focus of an extensive renovation and extension project that involved the preservation and inclusion of a large tree into its layout.
The wooden patio embraces this old and imposing tree, while the upper level of the home overlooks its branches. From upstairs, the owners are able to feast their eyes on the fantastic views of the Sydney Harbor. The home’s additional body was made using thin concrete and incorporates an underground garage as well as a rooftop swimming pool that tempts with endless moments of relaxation. The abode maintains a connection with its original looks even though it was expanded dramatically.
By creating the Hopetoun residence, B.E Architecture proved that nature doesn’t always have to pay the price for our ever-growing need for space.
